Ode to Abbas

Today i lost my textbook on immunology... i was so depressed i decided to spend the rest of my day (when i got home) in mourning....just reminiscing of the good times i spent with my dear Abbas in the library...

Oh my dear Abbas, I didnt know you for very long, but the short time we spent together was ever so precious. Even though you werent perfect (slight tears on the top of every page (darn publishers), and a squashed bug on the last page), without your company I would have been doomed to staying in the library doing nothing or worse, going to the G_ _. What I liked most about you was how portable you were compared to the likes of Robbins and co. And the fact that you helped me understand immunology a little better was good too. But now I'm afraid the good times have come to an end.

I still remember what you were like just before you left, happily tucked away in my bag, waiting to be read. And just when things started to get boring in class, and as i was about to turn to you for help, you abandoned me. Oh the pain! But my anger quickly changed to panic as i realised what i was about to lose ($40++)! I tried my hardest to save you but to no avail. You were gone. Sigh... I'm not sure if life will be the same without you. But even though you no longer are, you will continue to linger in my memories. Goodbye my dear old friend...

Anyway im going to get a new Abbas in a few days if i really cant find it in school. My poor poor wallet....at least there's tv to cheer me up in this time of sadness...
