Sniff... and Exam Results!

Just talked to Mum for three hours, ended up not sleeping. But I'm super tired now, and I think I'll turn in soon, maybe 4 am or something. But I finally told Mum what I've been keeping from her for a year. Turns out that maybe I should've told her earlier so it wouldn't have been so awkward when she asked about it.

Today was very tiring, waking up at 5 plus in the morning to help out with stuff...

But I don't get to do it very often anyway.

This year has been eventful, and God gave me back something I never thought would return to me, and yet, something left for good.

Well, not for good, maybe it's just a cooldown period.

------------------------------------------------

Okay, that aside, I'm scared, I'm scared, I'm scared! Results are out! And I've got no guts to check!

Okay, I wanted to check but the server was down. Still. I'm shaking in my pants, I'm shaking in my pants! How, how, how?

Uh... by the way, Marc, you can check results online too. Yours should be out tomorrow, 11 am. For those who want to wait for the email, congratulations, it's coming in Jan 10th, so you can go ahead and torture yourselves.

Um... I know grades don't matter, but um...

Can I at least get three 'A's out of five? Please? I promise I'll be good to girls and treat them like the gentleman I really am. I won't make fun of the girls sitting beside me anymore, I'll treat any close girl friend I have with even more respect, I promise to remember the nice ones' birthdays and handphone numbers, and I promise to tell the girl if I like her. Please, please, pretty please?

Okay, okay, the bad ones too!

Alright, just in jest!

----------------------------------------

Oh yeah, I realised I can only recite out handphone numbers of.... girls...

I guess that doesn't bode too well, does it?

Oh wait, I can regurgitate out Jonathan Ng, Daryl, Sam and Jeremy Koh's phone numbers.

Well. 15 vs 4... not too bad I guess.

A Punny Christmas!

Well.. i just thought to make an entry since Nick was complaining non-stop that i never did write after he added me into the class blog. Anyway, this is a list of jokes that make use of puns for the punch line. ha! I especially like 18 for some reason..... Have fun!! Oh btw, Merry Christmas!

1. Two antennas met on a roof, fell in love and got
married. The ceremony wasn't much, but the reception was
excellent.

2. A jumper cable walks into a bar. The bartender says, "I'll
serve you, but don't start anything."

3. Two peanuts walk into a bar, and one was a salted.

4. A dyslexic man walks into a bra.

5. A man walks into a bar with a slab of asphalt under his arm
and says: "A beer please, and one for the road."

6. Two cannibals are eating a clown. One says to the other:
"Does this taste funny to you?"

7. "Doc, I can't stop singing 'The Green, Green Grass of Home.'"

"That sounds like Tom Jones Syndrome."
"Is it common?"
Well,
"It's Not Unusual."

8. Two cows are standing next to each other in a field. Daisy
says to Dolly, "I was artificially inseminated this morning."

"I don't believe you," says Dolly.

"It's true, no bull!" exclaims Daisy.

9. An invisible man marries an invisible woman. The kids were
nothing to look at either.

10. Deja Moo: The feeling that you've heard this bull before.

11. I went to buy some camouflage trousers the other day but I
couldn't find any.

12. I went to a seafood disco last week...and pulled a mussel.

13. What do you call a fish with no eyes? A fsh.

14. Two fish swim into a concrete wall. The one turns to the
other and says "Dam!".

15. Two Eskimos sitting in a kayak were chilly, so they lit a
fire in the craft. Unsurprisingly it sank, proving once
again that you can't have your kayak and heat it too.

16. A group of chess enthusiasts checked into a hotel and were
standing in the lobby discussing their recent tournament
victories. After about an hour, the manager came out of the
office and asked them to disperse. "But why," they asked,
as they moved off. "Because", he said, "I can't stand chess-nuts
boasting in an open foyer."

17. A woman has twins and gives them up for adoption. One of
them goes to a family in Egypt and is named "Ahmal." The other
goes to a family in Spain; they name him "Juan." Years
later, Juan sends a picture of himself to his birth
mother. Upon receiving the picture, she tells her husband
that she wishes she also had a picture of Ahmal. Her
husband responds, "They're twins! If you've seen Juan, you've
seen Ahmal."

18. Mahatma Gandhi, as you know, walked barefoot most of the
time, which produced an impressive set of calluses on his feet.
He also ate very little, which made him rather frail and with
his odd diet, he suffered from bad breath. This made him…..(Oh,
man, this is so bad, it's good).....A super calloused fragile
mystic hexed by halitosis. - ouch!

MERRY CHRISTMAS

The Incarnation. The Word made flesh. Divinity veiled by humanity so that humanity may be clothed in divinity. Born so that man no more may die. Died so that man no more may die. Born only to die. Born in a cave (the manger was a cave) as Man begun in the cave. Born in a cave because Man had no room for God—we still don’t. Born in humble circumstances for men in humble circumstances. The Shepherd found by the shepherds. The maker of the world offered gold, frankincense and myrrh. But God so loved the world that he gave his only Son… what else can we give but ourselves?

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Christmas Thoughts by Marilyn Ferguson

Some people think of Christmas
As sleigh rides in the cold
A tree that glistens of tinsel
And decorations of silver and gold.

Some people think of Christmas
As stockings dressed in red
A crackling glowing fireplace
And a warm and cozy bed.

Some people think of Christmas
As faces filled with glee
Sharing stories, fun and laughter
And gathering 'round the tree.

Some people think of Christmas
As gifts wrapped up in blue
Writing letters to their loved ones
And Christmas caroling too.

Some people think of Christmas
As snow falling on the ground
The hustle and bustle of shoppers
And the joy that's spread around.

Some people think of Christmas
As Christ on Christmas day
And families joined together
With heads bowed down to pray.

Some people think of Christmas
As the Lord who dwells above
Who sent His son to die for us
And gave the gift of love.

A poem

Let me try my hand at poetry
Cos I'm really not very good at all
It would just end up sounding silly
Or perhaps something more

What a stupid first verse that was
With all those not so rhymy themes
What's more I even misspelled 'Cause',
And the alternate rhyme schemes?!

Well, the 2nd was worse than that
I mean, after all, it's all about the first
Tell me how good can a poem get
If it just talks about the previous verse?

Gah this is getting from bad to worse
Look at it! From first to third
They are all about the previous verse
Maybe I should write about a bird

Ok this is a poem about a bird.
Actually, I just needed something
To rhyme with the last alternate word
So much for my 4th verse rhyming

At least the first didn't fit
I mean, how could it?
Unless it talked about the zeroeth verse
Which exists only in another universe

Why's the rhyme scheme suddenly diff?
Stupid sixth verse must be the worst
After all it didn't talk about the fifth
But rather commented on the first

Oi, it's time to end this poem now
It's gone on for long enough
The 7th fitted in the 6th somehow
But 8 is just too tough.

P.S. I had actually wanted to write
About how my blog wasn't stopped
Although it seems locked up tight
But in actual fact it's not

You just need to click really hard on
My name in the background's left
It's in the phrase 'Majestea. By Ron.'
And after that you can see the rest.

Just Great

Just read some stuff online and got a little depressed. Alright. Maybe very. All that's going on in my head now is: Which teacher in ACJC is called Mavis? I only know she teaches F-Math, so maybe someone can tell me, hurhur.

In any case, Christmas's coming!

Poem

For Yong Kiat:

dearest yong kiat, i've decided to write
a poem that might keep you up at night
with visions of me, standing close to you,
with visions of us, and of daryl too.

..i really have no idea what to say (lol.. don't read this out though.. it's not in the poem..)
even though our love is as plain as day;
i just hoped to let my emotions show
before it's too late- hey, you never know.

ok- so i said it. what's done is done.
though it turns out this poem ain't no fun.
so here shall i leave it; here shall it end-
you want to continue? do it with ben.

Supersized

Its been some time since ive blogged...cause there hasnt been much to blog abt...my holidays have been pretty boring...so much to the extent that i actually felt like studying again (though i didnt in the end)! Ahhhhh, what has school done to me?!?!?.....sigh.... anyway, today was pretty much the most exciting day for me since the start of the hols which is pretty sad since almost 2 weeks of the hols have gone by... oh well, better late than never!

Went to Vivocity for the first time! Its really really BIG! So many shops! Clothes, toys, books and so on! There even is a playground near the middle of the building! There's this bookshop called One Page (or was it Page One?...) and its rather big too, like Kino and Borders! And so many restaurants too! There's Long John's, Carl's Junior, Food Republic, Starbucks, Coffee Bean, Mussel Man (i think) and many many more! Yeah, its really quite amazing. Only thing is it got really crowded at around lunch time and the place is so huge u could get lost and its rather tiring to walk around too.

Oh and the movie theatre there is huge too! Theres a lot of leg room and the headrests are really well cushioned too! Its pretty comfortable! But ppl dont stick to the seats which they are assigned to...bah...and i dont think u get to choose your seats either...which most likely leads to ppl not sticking to their assigned seats. And the only way to exit the movie theatre is a long convoluted route which winds up with u outside the building. Anyway, the movie was pretty good too! Eragon...i think i would rather read the book though...cause the show did seem a little rushed and not too well developed. The acting was okay and the effects werent too bad either though. But yeah, had a good time anyway!

Im off to italy tmr on a 1am flight (sigh) so since i wont be around on christmas and the class party, merry christmas in advance and hope u guys have fun! See y'all next year!

For the Girls

Well actually I came up with love poems for all the girls, but then I figured it wouldn’t be very nice, so um, I decided to be nice, and write a new love poem for all of the girls. I wrote it quite late last night, so please pardon me. Here goes:

Oh [insert name here], you’re all grown-up,
Sweet like syrup.
Love you so much I’d say to you, please wake-up,
You look so much better with make-up.

Ah [insert name here], why didn’t you show up?
No no, it wasn’t a mix-up,
For Christmas I so wanted to get you a push-up,
So you could have a shape-up.

Please, [insert boyfriend’s name here], please don’t give me a wallop,
But I’d really love her as a pin-up,
So why don’t you just give her up,
And set the two of us up?

Oooh, I’d really want you close-up,
Rub you all over with ketchup,
Then maybe give you a clean-up,
And that’s just for the warm-up.

So hurry, hurry, break-up,
And let our relationship speed-up.
Then off to the Mediterranean we’ll gallop,
Where I’ll feed you scallop.

I’ve been running, and doing many a sit-up,
Hoping for the night where it all piles up.
Maybe when you go to the doctor for your next check-up,
In your tummy there’s a new pup.

Everytime I want to confess, there’s a polyp,
Deep in my throat, my breath I can’t keep up.
I love you so so much, that’s what’s up,
So please don’t ask me to shut up.

I love you so very much,
Merry Christmas dear [insert name here]!

I read it to my Mum, and she thinks it’s pretty good! Wow. To think it was a five minute cheap poem. I had a very strong impulse to put Denise and Kevin since those two names are so relevant down here. Then again, Plock and Daryl would work pretty well too. Ooooh, I've gotten Denise's and Christine's one done already, whee! Alright, it's time to do some proper stuff, later!

Class PARTY

Bleah, it's just gloomy and rainy all day long.

After reading the blog and realising that most of the army people have leave on the 26th, I was thinking we can have our class gathering on the 26th after all.. Pleaseeeee reply my email which I sent out via yahoogroups okayyyyy? I'm dying waiting for the replies to drip in.. Haha..

Oh yeah, I still need a HOME.. ANYONE able to open up theirs?

Blessed Christmas!

Conformations

~To be inflexible or flexible - your molecules make the difference!~
Good grief, this is what Secondary Two students will learn in time to come; you see, when your muscles contract, it is an action that is due to the cumulative rotatory motions of individual sigma bonds! Because many carbon-carbon single bonds are undergoing rotation, such conformational changes in a muscle protein causes mysoin to move its tail 60 angstroms along its adjacent actin protein chain in a step called the power stroke, and this repetitive occurrence of the power stroke then drives the movment of muscle!
As disgusting as I think this kind of hardcore medicine-type memory work is, but really, what precision! Sixty angstroms! Plus the quantum mechanical calculations that can be done on each single rotation!
I think our body's pretty cool.
~Just that it's dying everyday.~

Before and After

~Now and then.~

馬鹿野郎が!

Oh I was reading through Paul Dirac's nonsense when I realised, Physicists're pretty good with insults too:

"A penny for your thoughts? No way, I'd get change!"

And then Galileo was a Medical student, wow:

"You are one neuron short of a synapse, everywhere..."

And after re-playing FF-X:

"Some drink from the fountain of knowledge, you merely gargled"

And my personal favourite against my cousin:

"You're suffering from delusions of adequacy"

And his retort when I was playing Kiko-match on Neopets:

"You've a photographic memory, just that the lens cover is permanently glued on"

Kinda reminds me of someone, don't you think, haha:

"You just don't fall into my perceptions fo beauty, that's all!"

~Alright, Merry Christmas everyone!~

Story of My Life

~Oh well, confessions, confessions.~

Alright, I would like to tell the story of how I first got to know the first girl (nope, it's not caroline, she came into my conversations like... six months after school started) I talked to in class. I thought she was very smart. And wow, she was very smart! But I thought she hated me. I thought she was just putting up a farce on MSN. I thought that "yes, she's just humouring you, yyk..."

Well... basically this is what happened:

Well, if you can't see... then just follow the link lah... or copy and paste or save the picture or something, don't come whining to me!

Anyway, yeah. Turns out that I typed her email address wrongly. Just by a simple underscore worth of mistake.

So... I kind of thought I was talking to her, and then... well, I was kind of pissed when I went to class, and she just completely ignored me, as if she didn't know what I told her the day before.

Until one day... well... Um... I forgot what happened.

But... I've kept this email address in MSN ever since... because it's someone I've been talking to for a year... although I don't know who she is... but...

I've got her to thank for a lot of things. I hope you're doing well. And um, well, next time tell me if you're going to abandon your account.

And you guys can laugh at the other mistakes I made, just look at the picture.

Alright, tomorrow's Math and I'm positively scroo-ed. Nice sound!

~I'm just very glad for how things turned out between all of us.~

Outing Outing

~Yes, outing, outing.~

Okay, so here're the final details:

Time: We'll meet at say... eleven? Then we can all wait for the army guys to come while we um, wait.

People: zY, Daryl, Denise, Kevin, Michelle, Marc, Aaron, Nick and um.. Xi Wern if he still wants to come, although I think he might go for badminton. Victor hasn't messaged me yet, Joanne's going for Church Camp, and Channy's flying off on Friday.

Venue: Frankly speaking, I only thought of ice-cream. I have no idea where we're going for lunch. Oh well. But I thought of where to go on Wednesday with Joanne!

Oh yeah, have I mentioned that the guest-of-honour, Neha, isn't coming anymore?

Man. All the planning wasted. But I'm still looking forward to spending at least five minutes with everyone.

Oh yeah, can someone please like, tell Alan and Weiming? I have only five numbers on my handphone. Please?

Oh well.

~And seriously ah, no one remembers how important yesterday was to me? I didn't even get congratulated by a single person lah!~

WHEE!

Exams are literally just around the corner and thats nothing to be happy abt...but today's a happy day cause its someones birthday!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SARAH!

And to all of u ppl having exams (including myself), All the Best! The best is yet to be! So even if we dont do well this time round, the next time we'll be better!...but hopefully we do well all the time... God Bless!

Conversation

~With my neighbour~

YYK: Hello! I'm bored! Save me save me!
Joe: Um, well, say something to start.

YYK: Just talk to me!
Joe: Oh alright... um, why don't you say something smart?

YYK: That's hard... Oh I got a nice one - "Don't spend money, spend time..."
Joe: Orh, I know, because time equals money right?

YYK: Listen to me lah! "Don't spend money, spend time with family".
Joe: Whatever... why don't you listen to mine?

YYK: Bring it.
Joe: "I want to die peacefully like my grand-dad, not like the passengers in his car who screamed to their deaths."

YYK: You're sick. And morbid.
Joe: Thank you.

On a brighter note, I just finished Physics today! And I love University Physics! No more definitions, and cool, they ask to derive funky stuff never taught to us anywhere before! It's very interesting and hopefully I'll get to show it to all of you someday. Plus I learn something interesting everytime I do Physics.

YYK: What's a Jacob's Ladder?
Daryl: Um... I don't know?
YYK: It's a small little electrical thingy that electrocutes small animals.

Interesting. I'm learning new things everyday, like why non-fat milk looks blue in colour. And why my spectacles cost so much.

Alright. I'm bored. Four more days till the last paper, and it's time to...

~Take a break.~
