hermione jane granger

i finally watched harry potter! but haha. it was such a horrible show. it was completely bowdlerized, mutilated and stupid (ok i understand that in adapting such a thick book into a 138min show, things have to be changed, but you don't cut out impt or interesting parts to include stupid, redundant sub plots like the totally inane harry/cho kissing/romance and the crowd pleasing (?) meretricious shots of london). but i sitll enjoyed it!! haha. for one reason only:

hahaha! but pity, BIG PITY, that she had so little screentime. hahaha. sighhhh... i'm going to watch it again! lol.

recently this week, i was feeling really elated and excited. haha. wanna know why? haha.

Hermione to take on muggles at Cambridge

In the Harry Potter series Hermione Granger is one of the star pupils of Hogwarts, the school for young wizards.

Emma Watson plays red-haired Hermione Granger
Now the girl who plays red-haired Hermione (EDIT: this is SO wrong. BROWN hair, not red! red's weasley!) , Emma Watson, intends to be similarly studious in the real world of the muggles.
The 17-year-old actress plans to
turn her back on stardom and a blossoming film career to study philosophy at Cambridge University.
She has played Hermione in all the
Harry Potter films.
She is reported to have earned £2 million from the screen versions of the author JK Rowling's books.
However, she still wants to be a student at the world-famous university.
Watson revealed her plan to switch from the screen to academia during an interview with Tatler editor Geordie Greig. "Her next plan is to study philosophy at Cambridge," he said.
Watson is currently sitting AS levels in art history, geography and English literature. She got eight A* grades and two A grades at GCSE.
However, she will have to juggle her studies with the filming of the sixth instalment, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.

haha. i really, really, really hope she gets in. haha. sigh. but then again, if she does, i probably won't get any studying done at all haha.

btw, ok. this might be a spoiler for the next book-but i don't think so or i hope not cuz i don't want to be right about this-so don't read my speculation if you don't want to, but i think harry's gonna die!=( i thought that the horcux might have been the scar and not harry cuz it'd just be horrid if he'd die, but then i was thinking during the movie: voldermort wanted dumbledore to kill him (of course he wouldn't really be killed cuz of the horcruxes but we didn't know that during the ootp book) by killing harry! harry must be the horcux. ok. myabe that isn't really convincing/makes sense. bah. so be it. haha. daryl also didn't think so when i told him.

anyway, guess who i saw today? haha. i was crossing the road when a red car pulled over, honked at me and mrs soong who was in the passenger's seat waved to me and shouted, 'hi nick!' haha. a very pleasant surprise!=)

haha. gtg for dinner now. daryl should post more. he hasn't done so in ages.

EDIT: guess what? i know emma watson by connection. hehe. she has a cousin at the same college as my friend haha. i hope emma doesn't go to emma.. but =( "After her schooling, Emma will take a gap year to film the final Harry Potter movie and hopefully do a bit of travelling." that would be entry in 2009 if anything... and sigh. can you help me think of what to say to emma if i meet her? i can't. i think i'm pathetic=(
